Our Background
As owner and operator, Stephen was born and raised in rural east Texas. As a kid, entertainment consisted of spending nearly all free time being an average kid playing in creek bottoms, the woods, and doing anything outdoors. Throughout the course of growing up, chores included helping around the house, clearing fence rows, cutting firewood, and doing anything that was asked to help with properties and gardens. Eventually, Stephen obtained his first real job working for a local timber company and that was when the passion was really ignited. Whether the task included wood yard maintenance, working in the logging woods, or working with a company mechanic, everything was exciting, rewarding, and required the newly found attention to detail.
As time went on, Stephen had to leave the small town and pursue a college education that led him into being a diesel mechanic for companies like caterpillar and various coal mines scattered throughout East Texas. It was then that Stephen began to entertain the idea of cleaning his own property that he realized he wanted to make a difference. That was when 4W Services was born. With vision that every piece of property should be left better than it was found, that landowners should not be faced with “breaking the bank” to clean up their property, and that every piece of property has its own sentimental value. As the client base has continued to grow, we have taken a lot of pride in delivering honest and hard work and leaving every piece of property no different than we would leave or own backyard.

Whether your project requires beautifying a piece of property, detangling a fence row, maintaining that right of way, or simply just adding a shooting lane for an upcoming hunting season, we have the solution. More different than your traditional land clearing methods, our dedicated mulching equipment and rake allow us to clear your unwanted trees and underbrush with minimal disturbance to both the top soil and desirable vegetation. In addition, we are able to minimize erosion and return nutrients back to the soil through means of decomposition and allowing new growth of grass and desired vegetation that can be maintained. Removing the unwanted overgrowth in and around a landowner's favorite trees also allow your remaining vegetation to thrive with added sunlight and room to flourish.
